Frequently Asked Questions

I understand that starting Counselling can raise many questions. Here are answers to some common queries about my Counselling service in Sydney.

How much do sessions cost?

Session fees vary depending on the type of service. Individual services such as counselling and psychotherapy, Christian counselling, and youth mentoring are charged at a standard hourly rate, with a sliding scale option available. Family therapy and couples counselling are offered at a higher rate due to the additional complexity of working with more than one person. Professional supervision is offered at a reduced rate compared to other services, with further discounts available for students.

All services are provided as 60‑minute sessions. This allows adequate time to explore concerns, reflect on progress, and work through practical strategies in a meaningful way.

Private health fund rebates may be available depending on your level of cover. Providers commonly accepted include Bupa, CUA Health, GU Health, Emergency Services Health, GMHBA, Phoenix Health, Police Health, St Luke’s Health, Teachers Union Health, and Westfund. It is recommended that you check directly with your health fund to confirm eligibility and rebate amounts.

All fees are charged in addition to GST, as outlined in the pricing table on this page.

Family therapy and couples counselling are priced differently to individual sessions to reflect the additional preparation, coordination, and clinical complexity involved in supporting multiple people at once.

The session fee covers the full 60‑minute appointment and professional counselling or supervision support delivered using evidence‑based approaches tailored to your needs.

I’m here to listen, understand, and help you figure out where your head is at.
