My Counselling Services in Sydney and Online
For me, the heart of therapy is building a real, human connection. I like to keep the process authentic and, at times, a little unconventional—because no two people are the same, and neither is the way we work together. I welcome people of all ages and backgrounds, and my role is to offer compassion, understanding, and steady support as we navigate whatever life is throwing your way. I believe in focusing on what’s gone right in your life—your wins, your strengths, and the moments you’ve already overcome—rather than only looking at setbacks. Every experience, whether uplifting or challenging, shapes who you are and can be a stepping stone toward who you want to become. With the right tools, genuine support, and your own determination, I believe you can face life with confidence and grow into the best version of yourself.
Counselling
We all go through times when life feels heavy—when events or emotions seem endless, and solutions feel out of reach. Without support or a clear understanding of what’s happening, it’s easy to feel stuck, confused, or overwhelmed. The good news is, with the right counselling support, you can start to see things in a new light and find a way forward.
Professional counselling provides a safe, confidential space to talk through whatever’s on your mind—whether it’s something short-term or an ongoing challenge. It’s a chance to share your story with a qualified counsellor, feel truly heard, and gain fresh perspectives on your situation. In our counselling sessions together, I’ll support you to build self-awareness, grow in confidence, strengthen your relationships, and find practical ways to ease emotional struggles—so you can move towards the life you want to live.

Couples Counselling

When our closest relationship feels strained, it can affect every other part of our lives.
Couples counselling offers a supportive space for marriage and couples counseling to help you and your partner understand each other more deeply, work through conflicts, and strengthen your connection. At its heart, family therapy is about connection—recognising the patterns that help you thrive, and the ones that may be holding you back. Professional Supervision
I’m a registered professional supervisor with the Australian Counselling Association, offering professional supervision to registered counsellors, psychotherapists, and those in student placements or volunteer roles. My style is warm, engaging, and sometimes sprinkled with humour—because I believe learning and growth don’t have to be dry or intimidating.
In clinical supervision, I focus on two key areas: developing your professional skills and knowledge, and fostering self-reflective practice. Together, we’ll set meaningful goals for your professional development, explore challenges, and celebrate progress. My approach to counselling supervision is supervisee-directed, meaning your needs and learning style guide the process, while keeping self-awareness at the centre of our work. I hold a strong belief that experience, combined with thoughtful reflection, is one of our greatest teachers.
I work with supervisees who support children, adolescents, and adults across a variety of settings. Professional supervision sessions are offered one-on-one—in person, over the phone, or online. Concessional rates are available for students and volunteer counsellors.

Youth Mentoring
If you’re a parent, you’ve probably had moments where it feels hard to connect with your teenager or young adult—no matter how much you care or how well-intentioned your advice is. Sometimes, for reasons we can’t always explain, young people simply tune out what their parents have to say about their choices or lifestyle. And that’s okay. In fact, it’s completely normal for them to be more open to listening to someone who isn’t a parent or family member. You might even notice they show more respect or appreciation to another trusted adult (yes, it can be frustrating—but it can also be a great opportunity).
That’s where youth mentoring comes in. As an experienced youth mentor, my role is about sharing knowledge, skills, and real-life experiences to guide someone toward their full potential. It’s a journey of discovery—together. I work with young people through tailored youth mentoring to raise their expectations for themselves, explore what’s possible, challenge unhelpful ways of thinking, and develop strategies that take them beyond their comfort zone.

Christian Counselling
When life feels heavy and painful, it’s natural to ask questions like: Why am I going through this? What’s the meaning of my life? How can I cope with this pain? You might also find yourself wanting to draw closer to God and strengthen your faith during these challenging times.
Christian counselling offers a safe space to explore both your mental health and your faith, weaving together the wisdom of theology with the insights of psychology for a holistic approach to healing. Exploring the relationship between christianity and counseling, this support is grounded in biblical values and guided by principles that help you understand yourself more deeply, strengthen your relationship with God, and find peace in His presence.

Counselling for Young People
Adolescence brings big changes physically, emotionally, and mentally, and for some young people it can feel confusing or heavy. Counselling offers a calm, non-judgmental space to talk things through and feel understood. I work with both the young person and their parent/caregiver to bridge the gap, hear every voice, and find a practical way forward together. The focus is on trust, safety, and steady progress, with flexible session styles that may include time with your young person, with you, or together. We set achievable goals that build motivation, check in regularly, adapt as needed, and celebrate the wins so life feels easier to navigate.
If you are a parent, you will be involved in a supportive way, while still ensuring trust is maintained with your child. If you are a young person, counselling is not about being in trouble. Rather, it is about having someone on your side who listens and helps you make sense of what is going on in your life.

What To Expect In Our Sessions
Starting therapy can feel uncomfortable, particularly if you have never attended before or have had an unhelpful experience in the past.
You may wonder what you are supposed to say, whether your concerns are “serious enough,” or whether there will be an awkward silence five minutes after you sit down. You do not need to worry about performing therapy correctly. There is no correct opening sentence, and you will not be graded on emotional insight.
During your initial session, we will spend time getting to know one another and discussing what has led you to seek support. I may ask about your current concerns, personal history, relationships, stressors, supports, and what you would like to gain from working together.
You remain in control of what you share. You will never be expected to discuss something before you feel ready.
As our work continues, sessions may involve:
exploring thoughts, feelings and behaviours
recognising recurring emotional or relational patterns
developing new coping and communication strategies
processing difficult experiences in a safe environment
identifying strengths and existing resources
reviewing your goals and progress
adjusting our focus as your needs change
Some sessions may feel active and solution-focused. Others may be more reflective. At times, you may leave with a practical strategy to try. At other times, the most valuable outcome may be a clearer understanding of yourself or a sense that you are no longer carrying everything alone.
Therapy is rarely a perfectly straight line. Progress may involve movement, pauses, setbacks, unexpected insights and the occasional realisation that something you thought was “fine” was, in fact, not especially fine. That is all part of the process.

Frequently Asked Questions
Taking the first step can bring up a lot of questions. Here are some helpful answers about my services and how each service type works.
While both provide a safe place to talk, counselling generally focuses on immediate, situational issues—like navigating a sudden life change, managing workplace stress, or working through short-term relationship hurdles. Psychotherapy goes a little deeper, looking at long-standing emotional patterns, past experiences, family-of-origin dynamics, or complex mental health challenges to help you create lasting, structural change.
Not at all. You don’t need to wait until things feel unbearable to reach out. Many people seek my support simply to gain a clearer understanding of themselves, improve their relationships, or learn better strategies for managing everyday stress. If something feels heavy or confusing to you, that is reason enough.
It is completely normal to feel unsure about where to start! Whether you need individual support, couples counselling, family therapy, youth mentoring, or Christian counselling, we can figure that out together. During our initial check-in, we will talk about what you are experiencing and choose the path that fits you best.
Your first session is simply a conversation for us to get to know each other. We will discuss what led you to seek support, your personal history, and what you hope to achieve. There is no pressure to "perform" therapy correctly, no wrong starting place, and you remain in complete control of what you choose to share.
Because every person and situation is unique, there is no fixed number. Some people find that a few short-term, solution-focused sessions give them the clarity they need. Others prefer ongoing, deeper support over a longer period. We will regularly review your progress and adapt the pace to suit your goals.
Yes! You can choose the format that fits best into your life—whether that is meeting in person at my Norwest location or connecting online via secure telehealth video calls. Many people find that a flexible mix of both options works best for their schedule.
Yes, couples counselling can be wonderfully transformative—provided both partners are willing to engage openly. In my sessions, I offer a structured, neutral space to break unhelpful communication loops, rebuild trust, process conflict with grace, and rediscover genuine connection.
Adolescence can be a confusing time, and young people often tune out well-meaning advice from parents. Being a trusted, neutral adult on their side gives them a safe space to process peer pressure, school stress, identity, and emotions without feeling judged or like they are "in trouble". I also involve parents in a supportive, collaborative way while respecting the young person's confidentiality.
Family life can be messy, and differing views are completely expected! Family therapy isn't about deciding who is "right" or "wrong." Instead, I help identify relational patterns, ensure every family member feels heard, and build healthy communication so you can navigate transitions and stress as a team.
In my Christian counselling practice, I hold space for both your psychological well-being and your spiritual life. I integrate evidence-based therapeutic methods with biblical values, allowing you to bring prayer, Scripture, or conversations about God into the room freely.
Your questions, doubts, and past experiences are completely safe with me. Faith deconstruction or church-related hurt can feel deeply isolating, and my sessions provide a compassionate, non-judgmental space to process spiritual pain at your own pace—without pressure, shame, or forced answers.
