Book Follow-Up SessionHow Therapy Works For You
From start to finish, I tailor your therapy experience, working with you to untangle what’s holding you back and guiding you toward meaningful growth and clarity.
In your first session, you’ll have the chance to share what’s brought you here. There’s no pressure to have everything figured out, I’ll guide the conversation.
Over time, you’ll develop insight, coping skills, and confidence to manage stress, navigate relationships, and make choices that feel right for you.
Sessions are available both in-person and online, giving you the flexibility to choose the setting that feels most comfortable and convenient for you.
How Therapy Supports You
At Where’s Your Head At, I know starting therapy can feel overwhelming. That’s why my counselling sessions are designed to meet you where you are, emotionally, mentally, and spiritually, and guide you toward where you want to be.
Here’s how I can support you through therapy:
Find clarity – Therapy helps you untangle overwhelming thoughts and emotions so you can better understand yourself and what’s going on beneath the surface.
Manage stress – I’ll guide you through practical tools and personalised strategies to cope with anxiety, pressure, and burnout.
Improve relationships – Whether with a partner, family, or friends, counselling can help you communicate more openly, set healthy boundaries, and rebuild trust.
Reconnect with yourself – Explore unhelpful patterns, beliefs, or behaviours that may be holding you back — and begin making choices that align with your values.
Get everyday support – You don’t have to wait for a crisis. Sometimes, having someone to talk to regularly can make all the difference.
No matter where you’re starting from, I’m here to walk alongside you. Ready to take that first step?
Frequently Asked Questions
I offer individual counselling/psychotherapy, couples counselling, youth support & mentoring, Christian counselling, family therapy, and professional supervision. I can work with you in-person or via telehealth (video call/phone call) based on your location and what suits you best.
I believe it’s always a good idea to talk to someone before making an appointment. This is to ensure that I can get some background information to ensure that I can provide the right type of support. Plus, you may speak to me prior to making an appointment, and not get the right vibe, and that’s completely ok.
Fees vary depending on the type of service, and your financial situation. I will notify you of the pricing before you confirm your booking. I don’t intend on turning you away if you can’t afford the full fee.
That’s completely okay. You’re not expected to have all the answers. We’ll work it out together during a free 15-minute call to explore your needs and the type of support that might suit you best.
Absolutely. Everything you share is private and treated with full confidentiality, in line with Australian counselling standards.
I believe counselling is suited to whatever stage of life you’re in. Counselling can help with managing or reducing stress and anxiety, improving your relationships, low self-esteem, working through grief, or simply feeling stuck. If you’re unsure, booking a session can be a great first step toward gaining clarity.
That’s completely normal. You don’t need to have anything prepared. I will guide the conversation in a safe, supportive way
Availability changes daily, but sometimes you can make an appointment within a few days or within 1-2 weeks. You’ll see all available times during the booking phase.
Of course. If you have questions or need help figuring out the right type of support, please contact me. I’m here to support you and offer a free 15-minute call to help you get started.
Depending on the training and approach, most counsellors and psychotherapists provide talk-based support for issues like stress, anxiety, grief, and relationship difficulties, helping clients navigate everyday emotional and psychological challenges. They are often registered with professional bodies such as the Australian Counselling Association (ACA) or Psychotherapy & Counselling Federation of Australia (PACFA). Psychologists, on the other hand, are university-qualified professionals registered with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA), and are trained to assess, diagnose, and treat more complex mental health conditions (psychosis, OCD, schizophrenia) using evidence-based therapies. Another difference is that a psychologist can provide Medicare rebates if you have a Mental Health Care Plan, whereas a counsellor/psychotherapist cannot.
