My Areas of Expertise

I support people who feel constantly switched on, where rest never truly feels restful, helping the nervous system slow down and settle. I work with those who are carrying too much, emotionally and practically, and feeling weighed down by responsibility or pressure, guiding life toward feeling lighter and more manageable.

I often support parents who are depleted, giving everything to others while running close to burnout themselves. I also work with people whose past experiences still linger, showing up in the body or daily life as tension, overwhelm, or fatigue. My approach focuses on the whole person, offering practical tools that fit real life and can be used between sessions, not just during them.

About Me

Hi, I’m Jonathan Righetti, a registered counsellor, psychotherapist, and professional supervisor in Australia, and the founder of Where’s Your Head At. I support adolescents and adults with their mental health, offering counselling for anxiety, depression, trauma, stress, burnout, grief, relationships, and neurodivergence. My work is grounded in empathy, practical support, and evidence‑based therapy.

My approach to counselling and psychotherapy is person‑centred and trauma‑informed, with a strong focus on balance, self‑awareness, and resilience. I draw from a wide range of therapeutic models, including cognitive‑behavioural, dialectical‑behavioural, psychoanalytic, mindfulness‑based, somatic, and gestalt therapies, adapting each session to suit the individual and their unique needs.

I’m registered with the Australian Counselling Association (ACA), a member of the ACA College of Supervisors, and a Certified Child and Adolescent Trauma Professional (CATP).
